Stevenage Plumbing - My experience

I recentley hired a Steveneage plumbing company to carryout some essential plumbing work for us in our Stevenage home.

We had been on a short break over the past winter when we were having some freezing weather and due to the freezing conditions, we had a major leak in our loft due to one of our water pipes freezing through the night when the temperature was around -8 degrees and during the early Sunday afternoon the temperature rose into positive numbers and preceeded to thaw out the pipework. Now this sounds like there should be no problem but when the water in the pipe froze, this caused the pipe to crack slightly and then once the water had de-frosted, this caused a major leak which went through the ceiling and ruined our bathroom.

The ceiling had fallen in and the whole of the bathroom was unsafe to use so we were in a desperate state. We needed a Stevenage plumber ASAP because we had spent that night washing in our kitchin sink and using our neighbours toilet.

We rang around a few companies in the local paper but none of these companies could fit us in for at leat a few weeks due to the high number of breakdown call outs due to the freezing weather. We were getting really desperate and were considering moving into a hotel which would'nt have been ideal, so we did a few searches on the internet and a search for "Stevenage Plumbing" came up with some great results and we managed to find a superb local Stevenage plumber who came out to us the next day and started to attack our bathroom with great proffessionalism.

He showed us a few great places to find some quality bathrooms at great prices and while we were shopping for our new suite, he stripped everything out of the bathroom to leave an empty shell with a few pipes poking out of the floorboards and walls. We chose the bathroom suite we liked and he went to get it for us (he even had good terms with this company and got us a discount!)and then spent the next two days working non stop so that we could get back to a normal lifestyle as quickly as possible.

Once our Stevenage plumber had finished the job, we checked it over and his workmanship and finish was superb, it looked like something out of a flashy advert.

We really are glad that we searched around for a Stevenage plumbing company and this proves that not all tradesmen are out to rip you off!!
